I'm currently employed as a Subject Leader of Religious Education, Philosophy and Ethics at an outstanding grammar school. I am currently reading a PhD in Philosophy, having obtained an MA in Philosophy of Religion and and a BA in Philosophy. The resources I create and sell are those I use myself. I aim for my lessons to include a range of activities and for students to not only learn about my subject, but find doing so interesting.

This lesson has been designed as one of five lessons on Islam, all of which are for sale on TES. These Islam lessons make up part of a Six Major World Faiths Scheme of Work. Lessons are also available on Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Judaism and Christianity. Bundles are available at discounted rates. All lessons have been designed for a capable KS3 class (I use them for year 7), are fully differentiated with additional challenges, and include a range of activities. Although part of a series of lessons, each lesson has also been designed to work perfectly as a stand-alone. This lesson has been designed as one of eight lessons (three of which involve the creation and presentation of piece of student work) on Alternative Religions, all of which are for sale on TES. It explores the beliefs and practises of Amish people and compares them to those of mainstream Christianity. The main task of this lesson is based on a free youtube video, which a worksheet has been built around. All lessons have been designed for a capable KS3 class (I use them for year 8), are fully differentiated with additional challenges, and include a range of activities. This lesson is the first of four lessons on ethics, which culminates in an Edexcel GCSE-Style assessment. Though designed as a sequence each lesson can be taught without the others. The scheme of work was designed for a particularly gifted year 8 set however, would definitely be suitable for all of KS3 and KS4. This first lesson investigates the meaning of objective and relative morality, and the difference between them. This Bundle includes two different lessons sequences, one on Logic and one on Ethic, and easily includes enough content to take up a term of lessons at one hour a week. Once the students have completed the sequences, they should have a sophisticated understanding of the different ethical theories included, and a strong working knowledge of logical argument. The lessons were designed for a very gifted KS3 set however, I’ve also used them for KS4 RE Core lessons.
